El sector forestal anunció que dentro de dos años habrá un desabastecimiento de madera en el territorio nacional.
The forest sector announced that in two years the will be a lack of timber in the national territory.
El Colegio de Agrónomos, la Cámara Forestal, la Oficina Nacional Forestal (ONF), la Universidad Nacional y representantes de los productores de madera lanzaron la alerta ayer.
The College of Agronomists, The Forestry Cabinet, the National Forestry Office(ONF), the National University and representatives of timber producers made the alert yesterday.
Destacaron que el faltante ocasionaría pérdidas económicas al país, encarecería el producto (el cual se debería importar) y pone en riesgo el empleo de 20.000 trabajadores de la industria.
They detailed this lack of timber will occasion economic losses in the country, raise product prices (because they will have to be imported) and put in risk 20,000 jobs in the industry.
